A 24-year-old man was apprehended after trespassing into the residence of TVK leader and actor, Vijay, in Neelankarai, Chennai.
The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday when the individual was found on the terrace of the heavily secured property.
Security personnel promptly detained the intruder and handed him over to the Neelankarai police.
The suspect, identified as Arun from Madurantakam, reportedly entered the premises with the intent to meet Vijay.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that Arun had been experiencing mental health issues for the past four years and was residing with his aunt in Velachery.
Following the incident, he was admitted to the Kilpakkam Government Mental Hospital for treatment and observation.
The police are conducting further inquiries to determine how Arun managed to breach the property’s security measures. This incident has raised concerns regarding the effectiveness of security protocols at high-profile residences in the city.
Authorities are expected to review and enhance security measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
