Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai stated that the Madras High Court Madurai Bench’s order in the Thiruparankundram controversy is flawless, accusing the DMK government of defying it to incite religious conflict.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he affirmed the Deepathoon as confirmed temple property, questioning why the temple executive officer appealed improperly under government pressure. Annamalai reported briefing Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the matter.
Annamalai criticized Minister Raghupathy for falsely claiming judicial error by Justice G.R. Swaminathan, noting the court exposed Section 144 prohibitory orders as fraudulent. He alleged DMK’s one-sided policy targets Hindu devotees, with State Minister twisting past rulings, amid over 500 arrests during protests. The BJP leader positioned the standoff as DMK’s anti-Hindu appeasement ahead of 2026 polls.
