Veteran actor Kishore, known for his memorable performances in films like Indian Penal Law and Kamal Sridevi (Kannada), has opened up about his experience working on his upcoming Tamil drama Mellisai. The film, directed by G. Dhirav, has struck a chord with him for its grounded storytelling and relatable characters.In a recent statement, Kishore said that the role offered him a refreshing connection to everyday life and reminded him of why he fell in love with acting in the first place. āMellisai came to me as a story about ordinary lives with unfulfilled dreams, responsibilities and hope. It felt honest, without gimmicks. Playing this character reminded me why I love acting: to stay close to life,ā he said, expressing gratitude to the director, producers, coāactors and technicians who shaped the project with sensitivity.
The ensemble cast of Mellisai includes Subatra Robert, George Mariyan, Harish Uthaman and others, with music by Shankar Rangarajan and cinematography by Devaraj Pugazhendi. The film, produced under the Hashtag FDFS banner, explores themes of hope, responsibility and personal dreams, and does not yet have an official release date.
