Washington,  Jan 19: India has received an official invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join the newly proposed “Board of Peace,” an international initiative focused on post-conflict governance and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip as part of broader efforts toward peace, according to reports.
The invitation, conveyed by the U.S. ambassador to India, highlights Washington’s intent to involve New Delhi in diplomatic efforts linked to ending the Israel-Hamas war and stabilising Gaza. Details on India’s response or its potential role on the board are yet to be confirmed by the Indian government.
The Board of Peace is part of a broader peace plan and is expected to bring together multiple nations to oversee aspects such as governance, reconstruction and long-term stability in the war-torn region.
