Tamil cinema’s favourite commercial entertainer duo Vishal and director Sundar C have officially unveiled the title of their upcoming film as Purushan — marking their fourth collaboration after hits like Aambala, Action and Madha Gaja Raja. The announcement came through a stylish title promo released on Wednesday, which has already created considerable buzz among audiences.
The Purushan title promo hints at a mix of action, comedy and mass-appeal entertainment. In the brief teaser, Vishal is introduced as a seemingly mild-mannered husband whose gentle demeanour hides a tougher, more violent side — a contrast that underscores the film’s quirky tone. Adding to the excitement, Tamannaah Bhatia has been confirmed as the female lead, reuniting with Vishal and Sundar C after their previous collaboration in Action. Popular comedian Yogi Babu also features in a key role, promising plenty of humour.
Produced jointly by ACS Arun Kumar (Benzz Media) and Khushbu Sundar (Avni Cinemax), Purushan brings back Sundar C’s signature team, including composer Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, cinematographer Gopi Amarnath, and editor Roger. While the full plot details and release date are yet to be announced, the teaser has set high expectations for yet another commercial entertainer from this proven filmmaker–actor partnership.
