The makers of Pallichattambi, the upcoming film directed by Dijo Jose Antony and starring Tovino Thomas in the lead, have unveiled a new character poster featuring Kayadu Lohar. Shared on social media, the poster presents Kayadu in a striking vintage avatar, drawing attention for its period look. However, the filmmakers are yet to disclose the name or details of her character in the film.
Kayadu Lohar, who made her acting debut with the Kannada film Mugilpete, entered Malayalam cinema through Pathonpatham Noottandu, where her performance won appreciation. She later gained wider recognition with the Tamil film Dragon, released last year, which marked a major breakthrough in her career. Pallichattambi will be her third Malayalam film.
Apart from Pallichattambi, Kayadu is also playing the female lead in I Am Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan, with shooting currently underway. She continues to stay busy with multiple projects across Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu cinema.
Scheduled for release on April 9, Pallichattambi is set against the backdrop of Kerala in the 1950s and 60s. Produced by Noufal and Brijeesh under the banner of Worldwide Films, along with Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan of C Qube Bros Entertainments, the film is described as a full-fledged mass action entertainer. Motion posters and promotional videos featuring Tovino Thomas training in martial arts have further reinforced this expectation.
The film is co-produced by Megha Shyam and Thanseer, with the screenplay written by S. Suresh Babu. Alongside Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar, the cast includes several notable actors, including Vijayaraghavan, promising a powerful ensemble for this period action drama.
