The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) has announced that it will contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections using its own party symbol.
MDMK presidium chairman Arjuna Raj said that while discussions with the DMK on seat sharing have been smooth, the party has submitted its requests for more constituencies and intends to maintain an independent electoral identity.
He confirmed that MDMK candidates will contest under a separate symbol, with final decisions on specific seats to be made after further discussions with alliance partners.
This step reflects the party’s strategy to assert its presence and identity in the upcoming assembly elections.
