Chennai, May 21:

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has announced that certificate verification for students applying under the Sports Quota in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2026) will be held from June 1 to June 9.
The verification of original certificates for sports quota applicants will take place at Vivekananda Hall, located within the campus of Anna University, Guindy, Chennai. Eligible candidates have been instructed to attend the process in person on their allotted dates.
Students must carry all necessary documents, including original sports certificates, educational qualification records, and other supporting documents for verification. Authorities have informed applicants about their specific verification schedules through SMS notifications sent to their registered mobile numbers.
Meanwhile, the overall TNEA admission process is underway, with online registration for government quota seats having commenced on May 3. The registration window will remain open until June 2.
Candidates are required to upload their documents online, with digital verification scheduled between June 8 and June 20. However, students must ensure submission of their original certificates on or before June 6 as part of the admission process.
Officials advised applicants to regularly check updates and guidelines on the official TNEA portal to avoid missing important deadlines and procedures.
