Chennai, June 11:
To manage increased passenger traffic during the upcoming weekend holidays, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has announced the operation of special buses from Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode to various destinations across the state.
A total of 295 special buses will be operated from Kilambakkam bus terminus on Friday and 310 buses on Saturday to key destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Tiruchirappalli, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanniyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur.
Additionally, 55 special buses will run from Koyambedu to destinations such as Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru on both days. Another 100 buses have been arranged from Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode to various locations.
TNSTC has advised passengers to book tickets in advance through its official portal and mobile app to avoid last-minute rush. Special arrangements have also been made at major bus terminals to ensure smooth travel during the weekend.
