Gemini Film Circuit has announced an ambitious historical biographical film based on the life and legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, one of India’s most iconic freedom fighters.
The film will feature Aryan Shyam in the lead role, with direction by Anand V. Prasad. The project aims to chronicle Bose’s extraordinary journey, highlighting his leadership, patriotism, and crucial role in India’s independence movement, including his command of the Indian National Army (INA).
Expressing his thoughts on portraying the revered leader, Aryan Shyam said it was both an honour and a responsibility to bring such a towering personality to life on screen. Notably, the actor is the great-grandson of nationalist leader V. Krishnaswamy Iyer, adding a layer of historical resonance to his casting.
Director Anand V. Prasad said the film seeks to inspire younger generations by showcasing values of discipline, patriotism, and national service. He added that the narrative aims to encourage youth to consider contributing to the nation, including service in the armed forces.
Backed by high production values and extensive research, the film will feature grand period recreations to authentically depict key moments from Bose’s life. Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, with Peru Tulasi Palani Vel as Executive Producer, the project is currently in pre-production.
The makers plan a worldwide multilingual release, with further details on the cast and crew expected to be announced in the coming months.
