Chennai, June 17:
Actress Gautami has filed a complaint alleging fraud in the handling of her properties, leading to raids by the Enforcement Directorate in Chennai and Madurai.
She had appointed C. Alagappan as her power of attorney in 2004 to manage her assets. However, he is accused of misusing this authority by selling and transferring properties without proper consent.
Police have already registered multiple cases and arrested several individuals linked to the matter. The ED is now investigating possible money laundering and illegal financial transactions based on these complaints.
Search operations were conducted at multiple locations, and officials are examining whether the funds were diverted or invested illegally. Further investigation is underway.
