Actors Prabhudeva and Simran will share screen space in a new romantic film titled Kamal Sridevi, produced by Zion Films and MRP Entertainment. The film’s title was officially announced on Monday.
The film is presented jointly by Soundarya Rajinikanth on behalf of Zion Films and MRP Entertainment. Basilian Nazareth and Mahesh Raj Basilian are producing the project. Mithun Jai Shankar and Smeka are also part of the cast.
Written and directed by Krishnanand Kottarappattu, Kamal Sridevi is being developed as a distinctive, heartwarming romantic story intended for family audiences. The makers said the film aims to offer a different take on romance.
The shooting was completed in a single schedule across Munnar and Chennai, and the team is currently involved in the final stages of production. The announcement of the title has raised expectations about further updates from the makers.
The technical crew includes G V Prakash Kumar as music composer, Charan Velayudhan as cinematographer and Raja Arumugam as editor. Rajeevan is in charge of production design, while Shekar handles art direction. Anuvardhan and Nava Rajkumar are the costume designers, and Mahesh Mathew choreographs the action sequences.
Camera Senthil is handling promotional photography, while Maniyan is responsible for on-set stills. R J Suresh Kumar is the production manager. Gopi Prasanna oversees publicity design, while Suren G and Azhagiyakoothan handle sound design. Sivakanth serves as chief associate director and Dinesh E as associate director. Yuvraj is the public relations officer, with Prashanth as executive producer and Sarath J Samuel as co-producer.
MRP Entertainment has backed films including Good Night, Lover, Tourist Family and With Love. Following the success of its earlier collaboration with Zion Films on With Love, the production houses have joined hands again for Kamal Sridevi.
