‘Thirumanam’: Cheran reveals his mega plans

Thirumanam is about a brother who struggles to get his sister married off, says actor-director Cheran. Speaking at the audio launch of the movie here, Cheran, said, “The film reflects the life of common people and how money plays an important role and how shortage of it affects their life.”

Veteran actress Sukanya is back on silver screen after a hiatus. Thambi Ramiah’s son Umapathy okays the lead role. Kavya, Jayaprakash and Thambi Ramaiah are also in the cast. Rajesh Yadav cranks the camera and Siddharth Vipin scores music.

Among those who too part in the audio launch include filmmakers K S Ravikumar, Bharathiraja, Mahendran, Maari Selvaraj, Lenin Bharathy, Arunraja Kamaraj, Karthik Thangavel.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharathiraja complimented Cheran’s writing and said that the director’s earlier films and the Thirumanam trailer showcased this.
