Chennai: Expelled DMK leader and former Union minister M K Alagiri this morning said the true loyalists of late party president M Karunanidhi and the party cadres were with him and supporting him.
Talking to mediapersons after paying homage at the Karunanidhi’s memorial at the Marina here along with his family, he said his anguish was about the DMK.
He said he expressed his anguish and agony about the party to his father at his memorial and said time will tell what his grievances are.
“I have conveyed by anguish and agony about the DMK at the memorial of my father,” said the former strongman of the party in the southern districts.

“You do not know about it (my anguish) now and time alone will tell,” he added.
Asked about the possibility of his coming back into the DMK, Alagiri, who was expelled from the party in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, said he conveyed his anguish and agony to his father.
He refused to comment about tomorrow’s executive meeting of the DMK and said, “Don’t ask me about the EC meeting. I am not with the DMK.”
