Chennai: Select students from the Hatsun Badminton Centre took part in the All India Sub-Junior Ranking (U-15 & U-17) Badminton tournament held in Patna, Bihar and have bagged 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, respectively, ensuring 4 podium finishes.

The event took place at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar
The tournament commenced on 1 October and 758 players participated across India in different age categories of U-15 & U-17 for both boys and girls.

The tournament witnessed some nail-biting matches where young and talented shuttlers fought for the top prize.

‘We are happy that our students have won numerous medals at the recently held All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & U-17) badminton tournament. Hatsun Badminton Centre is currently training promising young talents who are extremely passionate about badminton.With the right coaching and infrastructure they can bring laurels to the centre and the country,’ said Chairman and MD, Hatsun Agro Product Limited and Trustee, HAP Sports Trust,  RG Chandramogan.

U 17 Boys Singles  – Rithvick Sanjeevi S (HATSUN) lost to Ravi – 13-21, 8-21

U 17 Boys Doubles – Srayas PV (HATSUN) & Murugappa KS beat Gireesh Nayudu & Sankarprasad Udayakumar 21-15, 18-21, 21-18

Semi Finals

U 17 Boys Singles – Siddanth Gupta (HATSUN) Lost to Ravi – 21-15, 20-22,15-21

U 17 Girls Doubles – Sarumathi (HATSUN) & Sivapriya KM lost to Kriti Bharadwaj & Tanya Hemanth – 14-21, 21-17, 13-21
