GRT Jewellers managing directors GR ‘Ananth’ Ananthapadmanabhan and GR Radhakrishnan handing over a cheque for Rs 50 lakh to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami for supporting the people affected by Cyclone Gaja.

GRT Jewellers, a renowned player in jewellery industry since 1964, donated Rs. 50 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to support the people of the State who were affected by the cyclone Gaja that hit delta districts on 16 November.

A press release said the cheque was personally handed over to Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.

GR ‘Ananth’ Ananthapadmanabhan, managing director of GRT, said, “In this effort to restore normalcy in the regions affected by cyclone Gaja, we have done our bit. Today, GRT Jewellers is a renowned name in the jewellery business and it is only due to the patronage and support of people. Helping in trying times is just a small way of giving back. We hope the affected regions and lives of people in those regions are restored to normalcy in the quickest possible time.”

GR Radhakrishanan, managing director of GRT, commented, “Trying times like these require strength and unity and the people of State have been proving themselves time and again. This donation is our way of saying that we will stand by our people at all times. The affected regions, I am sure, we will bounce back stronger.”
