Hyderabad: As a new initiative under the ‘Aarogyasri‘ health scheme, kidney patients would be offered free travel in government buses in the Telangana.
According to official reports,Ā Telangana government wouldĀ reimburse Rs 12.22 crore per annum toĀ Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) towards this facility, which would benefit about 7,600 kidney patients in the State.
A press release said, “Kidney patients and those undergoing dialysis can now travel for free on TSRTCĀ Pallevelugu and Express buses in districts besides on ordinary, metro express and metro deluxe buses in Hyderabad and Warangal.”
The order for implementing the instructions of the government was issued to all the depots by the TSRTC managing director Sunil Sharma.
