Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth has said that he will definitely contest in the Tamilnadu Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters at the Chennai airport, before leaving to Mumbai for the shoot of his film ‘Darbar‘, Rajini said, “I will definitely contest in the elections for the 234 constituencies whenever it is announced.”
“I will never disappoint my fans who are eager about politics,” he added. When asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return back to power, he said, “We will know it on 23 May.”
Responding to a question about Ariyalur communal clashes that happened on Thursday, Rajini said “Compared to the previous communal clashes during the elections, this time it has reduced considerably, the election commission has done a brilliant job.”
