The general counselling, which begins today, will have four rounds till 28 July with different cut-off marks.

The online counselling was mooted to facilitate students from far-off places do their admission process sitting at home or from the facilitation centres set up by DoTE.

State Higher Education Minister K P Anbalagan, who released the merit list recently, said this year, there will be 479 colleges for counselling as 15 colleges had opted out of the admission process.

Anna University has also reduced 270 seats in its colleges and university departments. Candidates may check their details on the DoTE website.
