Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today said a special division called as ‘Yaadhum Oorey’ will be formed at a cost of Rs 60 lakh to attract more investments to the State.
Making the announcement under Rule 110 in the Assembly, he said a special website will also be formed for people to connect with each other, share their ideas, create awareness and attract investments.
“An online grievance portal called as ‘Biz Buddy’ will be created at a cost of Rs 50 lakh in which organisations can convey their problems. This will be solved within four weeks. A website will be started to connect industrialists and land owners who are willing to sell 20 acres or more land for industrial purposes,” he said.
Apart from this, he also announced new export infrastructures will be developed at the SIPCOT in Kanchipuram and Erode at a cost of Rs 50 crore.
“The IT park in SIPCOT, Siruseri will get conference halls, training centres in 50,000 square feet at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Homes will be built at a cost of Rs 50 crore at the SIPCOT industrial parks in Ranipet,” he added.
He further said government training centres will be set up at a cost of Rs 26 crore at Perumbakkam in Kanchipuram and Sembodai in Nagapattinam.
“The work will be taken up in collaboration with Powergrid Corporation India Limited and Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited. Apart from this, new departments will be started at the 11 Government Industrial Training Institutes across Tamilnadu at a cost of Rs 44.19 crore. A blockchain Backbone infrastructure will be formed at a cost of Rs 40.80 crore,” he said.
Palaniswami also said a new desalination plant to convert 60 MLD seawater to drinking water will be set up at Thoothukudi. He said the scheme will be implemented at a cost of Rs 634 crore. He further said ‘Makkal En’ has been developed by TNeGA.
“Through this people can get all certificates right from birth certificate to death certificate in the Citizen Vault without applying. This scheme called ‘Makkalai Thedi Arasu’ will be implemented at a cost of Rs 90 crore,” he added.
