Mumbai: Actress Taapsee Pannu, whose property was raided by the Income Tax Department’s officials earlier this week, has broken her silence on Twitter.
She addressed the allegations made against her and even cracked a joke.
In the first tweet she posted today, she said, ‘Three days of intense search. Of three things primarily: 1. The keys of the ‘alleged’ bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner.’
In another tweet, she said, ‘The āallegedā receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz Iāve been refused that money before.’
In her third tweet, she said, ‘My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister Folded hands
P.S- ānot so sastiā anymore.’
Her posts came three days after Wednesday’s raids over alleged tax evasion. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, too, was raided by the I-T department.
Both were reportedly questioned by officials in Pune. Searches took place at 30 locations in Mumbai and Pune.
