Chennai: Through International Institute of Film and Culture (IIFC), we are committed to provide trainingĀ filmmaking to those students below poverty line, said IIFC president and national.award winning filmmaker Vettrimaran.Speaking at an event in Chennai, Vettrimaran, said, ‘A 100 per cent exemption on fees would be provided that includes free food and lodging facilities’.
The qualification for admission are that they should be between 21 and 25 years. Should hold a degree other than media studies. Preference would be given to first generation learners and those belonging to economically backward families. One from each district would be selected.
Rajanayagam is the mentor and Vetri Duraisami is the secretary. The institute is committed to identify raw and original talents primarily across the districts of Tamil Nadu, and to provide a conducive ambience to nurture and refine their cine-tech skills, emerging eventually as āserious entertainersā technically, creatively, ethically empowered to produce wholesome and healthy, commercially viable entertainment.
