Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is likely to be introduced very soon to cater to the needs of South Tamil Nadu commuters to travel to the IT city. PM Modi is likely to inaugurate the train service next week, according to sources. Madurai- Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express is said to be in the new orange livery.
While other trains normally take 7 hours to cover the 435 km Madurai-Bengaluru distance, Vande Bharat covers in 6 or 5.30 hours. This Vande Bharat train running from Madurai to Bangalore has an initial plan of 16 coaches or 8 coaches. Also, since this is a daytime train, it is expected that initially it will run as an eight-coach train and then the coaches will be connected as per the requirement. It will also have two coaches, Executive Class, and Chair Class, as usual in Vande Bharat trains.
