Anbumani forecasts alliance govt in TN in 2026

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) President Anbumani Ramadoss has laid out a bold vision for the political landscape of Tamil Nadu, predicting the establishment of an alliance government in the state by 2026 without the participation of either the DMK or AIADMK.
Campaigning fervently for BJP candidate P Karthiyayini in Chidambaram, Ramadoss spared no words in questioning the efficacy of incumbent MP Thirumavalavan, raising doubts about his contributions to the constituency and failure to address pressing issues.
Highlighting the neglect of critical projects such as dredging work at Veernam, the largest lake in the state, Ramadoss criticized the DMK alliance for purportedly betraying PMK’s interests on issues ranging from the Kaveri river dispute to the Katchatheevu matter. He singled out Thirumavalavan as an accomplice in these alleged betrayals.
Turning his attention to the AIADMK-led alliance under Edappadi Palanisamy, Ramadoss predicted the party’s demise post-election, attributing its perceived downfall to PMK’s support in elevating AIADMK leaders to the chief ministerial position. However, he accused the AIADMK of ingratitude, claiming that despite PMK’s support, the party has failed to deliver on its promises.
Looking ahead to the 2026 assembly polls, Ramadoss expressed confidence in PMK’s ability to forge a new political alliance that excludes both DMK and AIADMK. He lambasted the two major Dravidian parties for their alleged failure to address the state’s long-standing issues, including the prevalence of alcoholism and the welfare of farmers.
