An analysis conducted by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) reveals that Chennai has emerged as the hottest mega city in India, witnessing a dramatic increase in the number of days where the heat index exceeds the danger zone threshold of 41°C. Over the past two decades, the city has experienced a threefold rise in these extreme heat days.

TNEA-2024 certificate verification Process begins

The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2024) has commenced the certificate verification process for over 1.9 lakh candidates aspiring to secure engineering seats. According to a senior official from the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), the entire TNEA-2024 process—including registration, payment, choice filling, certificate verification, allotment, and confirmation—is being conducted online.

OPS urges TN govt to secure Cauvery water from K’taka
