In connection with the upcoming Karthigai Deepam Festival, the government transport officials have announced that over 1,000 special buses will be operated to Thiruvannamalai from various districts, including Chennai.According to the officials, the Karthigai Deepam festival at the Arunachaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai will be celebrated on December 13. To facilitate the large number of devotees, special buses will be run from several cities including Chennai, Bengaluru, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Vellore, Villupuram, Ariyalur, Perambur, Salem, Erode, Kallakurichi, Trichy, Madurai, and Virudachalam, among others.
Over 500 special buses will operate from Chennai alone. Arrangements for the special buses and temporary bus stations will be announced soon.
