Annamalai pays tribute to MGR on his birth anniversary


Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai paid tribute to former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran (MGR) on his birth anniversary, hailing him as a visionary leader and an exceptional nationalist who worked tirelessly for the upliftment of marginalized communities.
In his statement, Annamalai said:
“Today marks the birth anniversary of Tamil Nadu’s former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran. He dedicated his efforts to the betterment of the underprivileged. His contributions spanned across various sectors, including healthcare, vocational training programs, self-employment schemes, educational infrastructure, and women’s empowerment. He also introduced the nutritious midday meal scheme for school students, benefitting the overall Tamil society.”
Annamalai further highlighted MGR’s contributions to Tamil culture and language, saying, “By organizing the World Tamil Conference, MGR brought great pride to the Tamil language. He worked tirelessly for the social and economic progress of disadvantaged communities.”
Concluding his statement, Annamalai said, “We pay tribute to the legendary nationalist MGR, who dedicated his life to the development of society and the welfare of the people.”
