The long-standing speculation about Kayadu Lohar pairing up with Silambarasan TR has finally come true. The actress, who was earlier rumored to star in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2021), is now set to play the leading lady in STR 49. The film will be directed by Parking fame Ramkumar Balakrishnan and produced by Dawn Pictures.The makers are gearing up to commence shooting in April, and the film is expected to hit screens in December. The official cast and crew details will be revealed next month during the film’s launch.
Apart from Kayadu Lohar, who was last seen in Dragon, STR 49 will reportedly feature Santhanam in a role that is not typically comedic. Music will be composed by Sai Abhyankhar, adding fresh energy to the project.
Silambarasan TR has an exciting lineup of films ahead. Besides STR 49, he will also be working on STR 50, directed by Desingh Periyasamy, and STR 51, which will be helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu under the AGS Entertainment banner.
