After a 15-year hiatus from Tamil cinema, actress Bhavana is making a grand comeback with the horror thriller The Door. Last seen alongside Ajith in Aasal (2010), Bhavana is now stepping into a spine-chilling narrative, written and directed by her brother Jaiiddev.The film’s makers unveiled an eerie trailer on Monday, announcing its theatrical release on March 28,
. The Door also stars Ganesh Venkatraman and Jayaprakash in key roles, alongside Sriranjini, Malayalam actor Nandhu, Kapil Velavan, Priya Venkat, Ramesh Arumugam, Sindhoori, and Sangeetha.
Produced by Bhavana’s husband Naveen Rajan under the June Dreams Studios banner, the film boasts a solid technical crew, including cinematographer Gautham G, music director Varun Unni, and editor Athul Vijay. The film will also release in Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu, widening its reach.
While the makers have kept plot details under wraps, Naveen Rajan hinted on social media that Ganesh Venkatraman plays the leader of a crime investigation team. The trailer teases a gripping mix of horror, real estate intrigue, and religious themes, with Bhavana seemingly portraying a woman caught in an unsettling mystery.
