Private Meteorologist’s Analysis
Independent weather expert N. Selvakumar explained that the combination of easterly winds and moisture incursion is causing convectional rainfall in interior districts. He added that the prevailing upper atmospheric circulation over the Bay of Bengal, near the Andaman Sea, is likely to develop into a low-pressure area tomorrow.
With this system approaching, coastal districts from Kanyakumari to Chennai can expect rainfall from tomorrow until April 10. Additionally, rainfall is expected in northern Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha in the coming days.
