History-sheeter hacked to death in Vyasarpadi

In a shocking incident, a notorious history-sheeter identified as “Thondai Raj,” also known as Rowdy Raji, was brutally hacked to death in Vyasarpadi, a northern suburb of Chennai. The murder took place in the Sathyamoorthy Nagar area, sending shockwaves across the locality known for its history of gang-related activities.

According to police sources, Thondai Raj had recently been released from prison, just about a month ago. His return to the locality was closely watched by law enforcement agencies due to his past involvement in several criminal activities. Despite that, he was targeted and killed in what appears to be a premeditated attack.
Eyewitnesses reported that a gang surrounded Raj and attacked him with deadly weapons in broad daylight, leaving him with fatal injuries. He died on the spot before any help could arrive.
Police personnel rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area for investigation. Forensic teams were deployed to gather evidence, and initial inquiries suggest that the murder may be the result of long-standing enmity or rivalry within the criminal underworld.
The Vyasarpadi police have registered a case and are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the assailants. Meanwhile, local residents remain tense as the gruesome killing has once again highlighted the volatile law and order situation in certain parts of the city.
