Speaking at a party event, Tamil Nadu Assembly Deputy Opposition Leader R. B. Udhayakumar hit out at Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for questioning AIADMK’s alliance with the BJP.
He said, “Before asking Palaniswami about the NEET exam cancellation, Stalin should reflect on his own alliances. The DMK’s nervousness over our tie-up with the BJP is evident from such questions.”
Udhayakumar further pointed out the double standards, stating, “When DMK allied with BJP in the past, it was hailed as virtuous. But when AIADMK joins hands with BJP, it is labelled a sin.”
He claimed that the DMK, which once boasted that there was no strong opposition in Tamil Nadu and that the real contest was only for second place, was now forced to discuss whether the state would have a coalition or a single-party government — thanks to Palaniswami’s strategic planning.
“From being pushed to second place, AIADMK is now steering the political narrative, setting the stage for a major shift in Tamil Nadu politics,” Udhayakumar asserted.
