PM Modi, Chief Minister MK Stalin pay tributes to L Ganesan


Nagaland Governor La Ganesan passed away at breathed his last on Friday evening at Apollo hospital in Chennai.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered his condolences on the passing of La Ganesan. In a post on X, PM Modi called him a devout nationalist and a pillar of the party who helped in the expansion of BJP across Tamil Nadu. He also remembered Ganesan as someone who was deeply passionate about Tamil culture.
Pained by the passing of Nagaland Governor Thiru La. Ganesan Ji. He will be remembered as a devout nationalist, who dedicated his life to service and nation-building,” wrote PM Modi on X.
Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi has expressed his profound sadness on the passing of  Ila. Ganesan. Governor Ravi described Ganesan’s death as an “irreparable loss to the nation.” He praised Ganesan’s lifelong commitment to humble and selfless service and extended his deepest sympathies to his family, supporters, and the people of Nagaland.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also paid tribute to the late governor on social media platform X. The DMK leader also paid his respects to Ganesan at his home in Chennai.
“Mr. Ila Ganesan was a distinguished figure who efficiently held various responsibilities, including State President of the BJP, National Vice-President of the BJP, Member of the Rajya Sabha, and Governor of Manipur and Nagaland. He was a person with a long public life, dedicating himself entirely to public service, even choosing not to marry for the sake of his political career. He protested against the declaration of the Emergency and wrote songs to express his dissent,” wrote Stalin.
