‘Kumki 2 portrays love between humans & nature’


It has been 13 years since Kumki won hearts with its emotional story and the touching bond between humans and elephants. The film was a major success and continues to be remembered fondly. Now, filmmaker Prabhu Solomon returns with Kumki 2, a new chapter promising the same emotional depth, strong storytelling, and memorable moments that made the first film special.
Directed again by Prabhu Solomon, Kumki 2 explores the pure and unconditional friendship between a young man and a majestic elephant. Mathi, making his acting debut, has impressed the team with his dedication and hard work. He performed challenging scenes with ease, including walking on rough terrain and working closely with elephants, staying connected with the animal throughout filming. Prabhu Solomon praised Mathi’s passion and effort, saying it clearly shines in his performance.
The film beautifully portrays the deep connection between humans, nature, and elephants. Nivas K. Prasanna’s music enhances the emotional impact of the film, following his recent successful albums including Bison. Scenes featuring elephants, shot in stunning forest locations, are visually breathtaking. Cinematographer M. Sukumar, known for his work in Kumki, Mynaa, and Thalaivan Thalaivii, has created striking visuals for the film.
Presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios) and produced by Dhaval Gada, Kumki 2 aims to appeal to fans of the original as well as a new generation of viewers.
