Pune Grand Tour 2026 Unveiled


Pune, Oct 30: India’s first-ever Pro Stage Elite Race for Men, the Pune Grand Tour 2026, a UCI 2.2 international cycling event, was officially launched with its emblem and mascot. Scheduled from January 19 to 23, 2026, this multi-stage road race covering 437 kilometers across Pune’s diverse urban, hilly, and rural terrain will serve as a qualifier for the LA 2028 Summer Olympics.
The event, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, marks a historic moment for Indian cycling as it enters global professional competition.
The Pune Grand Tour aims to ignite a cycling revolution in Maharashtra and India, nurturing local talent while boosting sports infrastructure and tourism. Both leaders highlighted cycling as a sport with vast potential to promote fitness, environmental awareness, and economic growth in the region.
