Bihar Done, Bengal Next: Modi

Following the resounding victory in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a clear message that West Bengal is the BJP’s next major target. Modi vowed to uproot the ‘jungle raj’—a term symbolizing lawlessness and poor governance—allegedly prevalent under the current Trinamool Congress (TMC) regime. Modi celebrated the historic triumph in the Bihar Assembly elections, praising the people of Bihar for giving a “resounding mandate.” Modi emphasised that the result sends a clear signal: the era of politics driven by nepotism or vote-bank appeasement is over. A new era of development-led governance has been chosen by the electorate.
