The Greater Chennai Corporation has initiated extensive road restoration works at 800 locations across the city to improve traffic flow and enhance road conditions.
The initiative aims to address potholes, damaged surfaces, and other infrastructure issues that have been contributing to congestion and slow commutes.
According to officials, the project is part of a broader effort to ensure smoother and safer travel for residents. By repairing key stretches and upgrading road quality, the Corporation seeks to reduce traffic bottlenecks, improve commuter experience, and strengthen overall urban infrastructure
Residents are advised to exercise caution and follow traffic diversions in areas where restoration work is underway. The Corporation has assured that the project will be executed in phases to minimize disruption and complete the repairs efficiently.
