The Tamil comedy-drama Thaai Kizhavi, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar in the lead role, has crossed the ₹75 crore mark at the global box office, completing a successful 25-day run in theatres.
The film, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan and produced by Sivakarthikeyan, has continued to perform steadily since its release, driven by strong word-of-mouth and audience support.
According to trade reports, the film has grossed over ₹75 crore worldwide, with around ₹66 crore coming from India alone, while also earning more than $1 million in overseas markets. The film’s consistent performance even after three weeks in theatres highlights its wide appeal among family audiences.
Thaai Kizhavi revolves around a family’s quest to find a hidden treasure after the matriarch falls ill, blending humour with emotional storytelling. The film also features a supporting cast including Singam Puli, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, and Ilavarasu.
The movie has been widely regarded as a surprise success in Tamil cinema, especially for a content-driven film led by a senior female actor without a conventional superstar.
