Chennai, June 4:

Newly elected MLA from Virdhachalam constituency Premalatha Vijayakanth has urged the government to take immediate steps to address law and order issues in the state.

As part of her constituency-wide thanksgiving tour, she inspected several public infrastructure sites in Virdhachalam, including Periyar Nagar park, the Periyar Nagar flyover, and the Ponneri bypass roundabout. She also visited the Mangalamapet Government Primary Health Centre, where she interacted with the public and heard their grievances.

Speaking to reporters, she said her MLA office would be inaugurated tomorrow, after which she would meet officials from various departments to take up public issues for resolution. She also said she plans to meet the District Collector with petitions related to constituency development and later approach the Chief Minister and concerned ministers regarding key demands.

Premalatha Vijayakanth noted that it has been a month since the new government took office and stressed that public expectations must be fulfilled. She further emphasized that law and order problems should be addressed effectively by the administration.
