Chennai, Aug 8:
The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department has issued new guidelines regulating visits of film personalities and VIPs to temples under its control. Commissioner Vinay has directed that all such high-profile visitors must inform the temple administration at least one day in advance about their visit and timing.
According to the order, no permission should be granted for photography or videography inside temple premises without prior approval. The move aims to maintain discipline and ensure that temple activities are not disrupted during such visits.
The Commissioner also emphasized that arrangements must be made in a way that does not inconvenience regular devotees. Temple authorities have been instructed to ensure that darshan for the public continues smoothly without any obstruction due to VIP visits.
Further, the guidelines stress that the sanctity and traditional practices of temples must not be compromised under any circumstances. All temple administrations have been directed to implement these instructions with immediate effect across the state
