“Writing is the key to #Love,” says Soundarya Rajinikanth, who is presenting and producing the Tamil romantic comedy series that explores modern relationships, dating and technology.
Starring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Arjun Das, #Love is set to premiere globally on Netflix on October 2. The series looks at contemporary love through different perspectives, revolving around single entrepreneurs who run competing dating platforms.
Speaking about the series, Soundarya said she has always been fascinated by love and romance on screen. “We have handled love from different perspectives. I am someone who is fond of love and I love watching romance on screen. I believe #Love will connect not just with Gen Z but with audiences across age groups,” she said.
Soundarya also said producing the series for Netflix was a privilege. “It is a privilege to produce a series for Netflix. When we came up with this modern love story, we felt Balaji Mohan would be the right person to direct it. He has brought the right sensibility to the story,” she said.
Praising the cast, she added that all the artistes had given their best. “Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lekshmi pairing will be fresh and entertaining. They have shared a great on-screen chemistry, and I am confident audiences will enjoy watching them together,” she said.
