Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, GN Chetty Road, will confer the award ‘Vani Kala Sudhakara’ to Seetha Narayanan (vocal), Kumbakonam MR Gopinath (violin), Vaikom Gopalakrishnan (ghatam), Anitha Guha (Bharatanatyam) and Y Gee Mahendra (theatre) on 9 December at 5.30 pm.
This will be the inauguration day of 39th Isai Iyal Nataka Vizha scheduled to be held till 15 January in the sabha premises.
A press release said, Swami Omkarananda will confer the awards in the presence of Vijaya Bank, managing director and chief executive officer, RA Sankaranarayanan, will preside over the function and Syndicate Bank, general manager, M Prasad, Indian Bank (City North), general manager M Karthikeyan.
