Madras Seva Sadan golden jubilee batch to honour teachers

Chennai: The 1969 tenth passout students of Madras Seva Sadan School, Tambaram, are planning to honour their teachers during the golden jubilee year 2019.

The Madras Seva Sadan Alumni which was formed recently took the decision to honours teachers. Students of the batch L Sundararaman, V Subramanian, B Balasubramanian, R Jayaraman and B Sureshkumar met the school head mistress S M Thara Begam and gave a letter requesting management approval.

She thanked and appreciated the gesture of the old students for the decision to honour teachers and to award students. ‘The event will be held during the Founder’s Day,’ said Sundararaman, co-ordinator of the alumni.

He further said they have also planned to give award to the Seva Sadan School toppers of class 10 and 12 public examination to be held in 2019.
‘

We will also give one award for the most promising student (one boy and one girl) from 10th std, depending on not only the marks but also based on their skill in sports/art like music, drawing, craft,’ he said.

An endowment fund will be created to give the awards to the students every year in the name of ‘Madras Seva Sadan Alumni 1969’ instituted by the batch students, Sundararaman said.
