The real-life Kabaddi players acting in director Susienthiran’s Kennedy Club, have won the Tamilnadu Chief Minister Trophy which comes with a cash price of Rs 12 lakh.
Director Susienthiran’s ‘Kennedy Club’ features seven real women Kabaddi players as a part of star-cast. These seven women are part of Tamilnadu’s most famous and celebrated Kabaddi team – Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu. They recently participated in the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Trophy kabaddi tournament that carries a cash prize of Rs 12 lakh.
In the latest edition, the real life kabaddi women of Kennedy club bagged the trophy. It was a really happy moment for the entire team of ‘Kennedy Club’ to see that their crew winning such a great honour.
The film Kennedy Club is based on the women Kabaddi Team that features Sasikumar and Bharathiraja in important roles. Having shot the film across prominent cities in India, the other schedules were filmed in Dindugal, Pazhani and Ottanchaththiram. In addition, some of the portions have been filmed in director Susienthiran’s native place Kannampatti near Pazhani. With the film’s shoot close on the heels of completion, the final schedule is being held in Vizhupuram.
Kennedy Club has musical score by D Imman and R.B. Gurudev is handling cinematography . The film is produced by Thai Saravanan for Nallusamy Pictures.
