
Chennai: Maharashtra Minister and senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case, linked to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Reports said a team of ED officials reached his residence on Wednesday evening and then took him to the office for questioning.
Recently, ED conducted multiple raids in Mumbai in connection with the money laundering case against Dawood Ibrahim and his aides.
According to reports, close to nine places in Mumbai and one in Thane were raided by the ED including the residences of Dawood Ibrahimās late sister Haseena Parkar and brother Iqbal Kaskar.
The ED has registered a money laundering case against Pakistan-based fugitive Dawood Ibrahim based on an FIR registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
