A Hindu Munnani leader from Tamil Nadu’s Trichy was arrested after he announced a Rs 10 crore bounty on the head of Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over the latter’s ‘Sanatana Dharma’ remarks.
The accused Dandapani (44) is the District Secretary of Hindu Munnani, a right-wing Hindu nationalist outfit based out of Tamil Nadu. During a meeting organised by the pro-Hindu outfit on the day of the Ganesh Chaturthi procession at Manapparai, he had allegedly said that he would beg Rs 50 crore and give it to the person who brings the head of Minister Udayanidhi.
