Student held for placing hidden camera in tenant’s bathroom

In a disturbing incident in Royapuram, Chennai, a medical student pursuing post-graduation in Dental studies was apprehended by the police for allegedly filming a woman bathing in her bathroom. The accused, identified as Ibrahim (36), was arrested after the victim, who was a tenant in his house, discovered a hidden camera disguised as a pen placed on the window. The woman noticed the suspicious gadget while in the bathroom and immediately brought it to the attention of her husband. Concerned about the nature of the device, the couple reported the incident to the police, leading to Ibrahim’s arrest. According to the police, Ibrahim had apparently placed the pen camera with the intention of recording inappropriate videos of the woman residing as a tenant in his house in Rayapuram. The swift action by the vigilant tenant and her husband led to the exposure of the spying device, and subsequent police intervention.
