After months of speculation and anticipation, the official announcement regarding Mari Selvaraj’s sports drama film with Dhruv Vikram has finally been made by the makers. Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios and Applause Entertainment are joining forces to produce this upcoming project, which has been the subject of much buzz in recent times.
Adding to the excitement, Anupama Parameswaran has been revealed as another lead in the yet-to-be-titled film. Initial reports hinted at the storyline being inspired by the life of Tamil Nadu Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, a recipient of the prestigious Arjuna Award. This association with real-life inspiration adds depth and authenticity to the narrative, promising audiences a compelling cinematic experience.
Mari Selvaraj, renowned for his impactful storytelling, garnered widespread acclaim with his debut film, “Pariyerum Perumal,” also backed by Neelam Studios. With this upcoming project, expectations are high as Selvaraj ventures into the realm of sports drama, a genre known for its potential to inspire, motivate, and entertain.
In the meantime, Mari Selvaraj is simultaneously engaged in another project titled “Vaazhai,” a children’s film featuring Nikhila Vimal in the lead role.
For Dhruv Vikram, this film marks another significant project following his appearance in Vikram and Karthik Subbaraj’s “Mahaan,” which premiered on Prime Video in 2022.
