BJP’s candidate for the Erode Lok Sabha constituency, AB Muruganantham, has stirred up controversy following a heated exchange with flying squad members who stopped his car for a routine check in Gobichettipalayam.In a video footage circulating widely, Muruganandam can be heard making intimidating remarks, stating, “I will make you go to court throughout your lifetime.”
Seated in his car, Muruganandam is seen admonishing the officers, urging them not to raise their voices and questioning their authority to threaten him.
Despite the calm demeanor of the officers and their explanation that they were simply carrying out their duty of vehicle checks, Muruganandam persisted in his confrontational stance. He demanded to know the identity and designation of the officer, challenging whether he had been assigned to intimidate him.
As tensions escalated, Muruganandam continued in a threatening manner, warning the officer that he would face legal repercussions and insisting on being treated with respect.
Eventually, the officers, in a bid to defuse the situation and due to the mounting traffic, allowed Muruganandam to proceed after completing the necessary checks on his vehicle.
