The Indian Industries Association (IIA), Tamil Nadu chapter, hosted a Skill Development Summit in Chennai yesterday. The event saw participation from representatives of educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and various stakeholders.
During the summit, Sudha, a member of the Tamil Nadu Planning Committee, addressed the audience, highlighting the state’s commitment to aligning education with global technological advancements and market demands. She emphasized that Tamil Nadu is at the forefront of integrating skill development into education. The government is focused on providing skill training from the school level to ensure that graduates are effective in their professional roles upon completing higher education.
Sudha noted that Tamil Nadu is leading in technological innovation and skill enhancement. She mentioned that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is currently used to evaluate examination papers in three universities. The government is working to extend this AI-based evaluation system to all universities and expects it to be operational soon.
